These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our services, including digital subscriptions and personalized printed books. By accessing, subscribing, or placing an order through our website or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Definitions
- "Service" refers to the creation and sale of both personalized and pre-made gift books, as well as digital subscription services provided by Talesse.
- "Customer" refers to any individual using our services or placing an order.
- "Subscription" refers to recurring access to digital book creation and storage services.
- "Digital Book" refers to books created and stored digitally for online reading.
- "Printed Book" refers to physical books ordered for production and delivery.
- "Order" refers to a request to create, purchase, or receive a personalized or pre-made printed book.
- "Personalization" refers to any details submitted by the Customer, including names, text, descriptions, and uploaded images.
Orders and Personalization
- Customers are responsible for ensuring that all submitted details (e.g. names, messages, and descriptions for personalized books) are accurate and complete.
- Book generation typically takes 10 minutes. A digital preview will be displayed on our website for final review before ordering.
- Customers have the opportunity to edit the generated book in the preview stage before adding the book to cart.
- Any errors not identified by the Customer at the preview stage will not be the responsibility of Talesse.
Payment Terms
For Printed Books:
- Payment must be made in full at the time of placing the order.
- Orders will not be processed until payment confirmation is received.
For Subscriptions:
- Payment is processed automatically at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually).
- You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees.
- You can update your payment method through your account settings.
General:
- We accept payments through approved methods displayed on our website.
- As a Kleinunternehmer gemäß § 19 UStG, we do not charge VAT.
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on the selected plan.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
- Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period.
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
- Digital book access and storage depend on your subscription tier as outlined in the pricing page.
- After subscription cancellation or expiration, digital books may be locked according to the storage policy of your plan.
Production and Delivery
- Production time for personalized books is approximately 7 business days. Delays may occur due to factors beyond our control (e.g., holidays, supply chain issues).
- We currently ship to the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany. We will bring Talesse to more countries soon.
- Talesse is not liable for delivery delays caused by third-party courier services.
Preview and Iterations Policy
- A digital preview is generated automatically after the Customer submits the required details. The book will be displayed for review before purchase.
- Customers can edit text and regenerate each image before adding the book to the cart.
- Once confirmed and purchased, no further modifications can be made.
Copyrighted Content
- Talesse cannot print content that infringes on any third-party copyright, including text, images, or other intellectual property.
- It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that all submitted content for personalized books is either original, royalty-free, or they have permission to use it.
- Talesse reserves the right to refuse orders containing suspected copyrighted material.
- Talesse is not liable for any copyright infringement resulting from the Customer's submitted content.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
For Subscriptions:
- You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- No refunds are provided for unused time in the current billing period.
- You retain access to your subscription features until the end of the paid period.
For Printed Books:
- You can cancel your order before it's printed. Please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Once the book has been printed, cancellations are no longer possible.
- Important note: Our books are individually personalized and created based on your submitted content. Therefore, in accordance with § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 1 BGB, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply.
- By placing an order, you agree that we may begin production before the end of the withdrawal period, and that your right of withdrawal expires once printing starts.
- If there are mistakes or any issues with your book, please contact our support team with photos of the issues and your order number and we'll work to resolve the situation fairly.
Customer Responsibilities
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate details for personalization.
- Customers must review the book preview carefully before ordering. Errors identified after ordering are not the responsibility of Talesse.
- Customers agree not to submit any content that is illegal, offensive, or in violation of third-party rights, including copyrighted material.
Limitation of Liability
- Talesse is not responsible for errors caused by inaccurate details submitted by the Customer.
- Talesse will not be held liable for delays, losses, or damages resulting from circumstances beyond its control (e.g., courier delays).
Privacy Policy
- We take your privacy seriously. The personal information and images you share are used solely for creating your book.
- Images uploaded for personalization are automatically deleted after 10 days, regardless of order status, and we don't use your content for training our AI or for any other purposes not related to fulfilling your order.
- We collect and use Customer information to process orders and improve our services.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
- Talesse reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
